The Turkish National EOSC Node will integrate Aperta and Harman as national data sources, align with required EOSC Federation technical capabilities, and contribute compute capacity to cross-node scientific workflows.
By connecting Turkish Open Science resources and HPC capabilities to EOSC, the Node increases the visibility of Turkish research outputs and strengthens collaboration between Turkish and European research communities.
TUBITAK ULAKBIM is Türkiye’s academic network operator, the institution responsible for ensuring open access to publications by major scientific publishers, home to the largest scientific high-performance computing centre (TRUBA, Turkish Science e-Infrastructure), which houses two Top500 certified systems and is used by more than 8,000 users, and is responsible for promoting Open Science in the whole Turkish research ecosystem.
Key objective: To build a national EOSC Node that interoperates technically and organisationally with the EOSC Federation and acts as a bridge between Turkish and European research ecosystems.
Science areas: All scientific disciplines, including data-intensive research, earth and ocean observation, environmental science, high-performance computing, and Open Science.
