The EOSC Symposium Programme Committee has launched an open call inviting individuals, teams, organisations, projects, and initiatives to help shape the EOSC Symposium 2026 programme.
The call is open from 12 May to 01 June 2026 (14:00 CEST) and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the flagship EOSC event by proposing potential speakers, topics to be discussed, and questions to be addressed.
This year’s edition of the EOSC Symposium will revolve around three tracks, each featuring several sessions. The track and session titles are presented below.
Track 1: EOSC collaborations and future opportunities
- EOSC’s role in supporting European AI Leadership
- EOSC and Data Spaces
- EOSC and ERICs/ESFRIs
- Capacity building on using AI tools for data science
Track 2: EOSC best practices and user experience
- Data federation, trustworthiness and sovereignty
- Usage of EOSC Nodes resources (incl. EU Node) and related benefits
- Automating data FAIRification
- Data economy
- EOSC User Forum
Track 3: EOSC Federation Operationalisation
- EOSC Federation nodes in production: lessons learnt and next steps
- EOSC Federation IF, architecture and data-related policies
- EOSC Federation federating capabilities
- Business models for EOSC Federation
Contribution format
Submissions may include 1) proposals for speakers for specific sessions, 2) suggestions for relevant topics to be discussed within the sessions listed above, and 3) key questions to be addressed during the discussions.
How to submit proposals
Members of the wider EOSC community are invited to submit up to three proposals via the form below by 01 June 2026 (14:00 CEST). When completing the form, the contributor will be asked to provide details about the person submitting the proposal(s) and to indicate the session to which each proposal relates.
In addition, for speaker suggestions, the forms requires speaker’s name, organisation, gender, a link to a biography, and, if available, a short description of the proposed talk (maximum 150 words).
For topic suggestions, the form asks for a title (maximum 60 characters) and an abstract (maximum 150 words) briefly describing the topic and its relevance to the selected session.
For question suggestions, proposers should provide a list of questions to be addressed during the session (maximum 100 words).
Evaluation of applications
All submissions will be peer‑reviewed by members of the EOSC Symposium Programme Committee and the appointed session co-chairs, who will decide if and how to address the collected input in the relevant sessions. Notifications of acceptance or rejection will be sent on 09 June 2026.
Submitted proposals will be evaluated based on:
- Relevance: Alignment with the Symposium’s programme tracks and sessions,
- Impact: Clarity of the added value for the EOSC community,
- Feasibility: Applicability of the proposal.
