Kristaps OŠKALNS

Kristaps Oškalns joined the EOSC Association in June 2026 as the EOSC Federation Technical Support Specialist, focusing on activities within the framework of the EOSC United and EOSC Gravity projects.

Alongside this role, he works at Latvia’s Higher Education and Science Information Technology Shared Service Centre (VPC), where he serves as Operations Officer for the Latvian EOSC Node, and Data Steward and Repository Manager for DataverseLV. His work includes developing the national EOSC Node, strengthening research data repository governance, supporting FAIR data practices and integrating national services with the EOSC Federation.

Kristaps holds a Master’s degree in analytical chemistry and has a professional background in laboratory management, quality systems and data analysis. His experience brings together quality and service management, research data stewardship and the development of open-science infrastructures.
