OpenNebula is an EU-based open-source cloud computing platform for managing heterogeneous distributed datacenter infrastructures. It is widely used as a production-ready IaaS solution in both academia and industry to deploy private, hybrid and edge clouds, as well as complex DevOps environments. In 2019, OpenNebula was awarded €2.1M from the EU Horizon 2020 SME Instrument program to assist in the development of ONEedge.io—its new open source edge computing platform based on cloud disaggregation.
