The Blue-Cloud Virtual Research Environment (VRE) hosts different Virtual Labs, which users can access with existing credentials in EOSC, the European Open Science Cloud. Multi-disciplinary datasets retrieved from the Blue-Cloud Data Discovery & Access Service (DD&AS) can be exploited in the thematic Virtual Labs.
In this webinar on #WorldOceanDay, we are going to learn more about one of the VLabs that will expand on the work of the pilot Blue-Cloud: “Carbon-Plankton Dynamics”, which will expand the Nutrient-Phytoplankton-Zooplankton-Detritus (NPZD) model developed in the Zoo and Phytoplankton EOV VLab with the integration of additional data from other regions, and including a carbon sequestration component.
We will also discover a brand new VLab on “Integration of Coastal Ocean observations along Europe”, working on the compilation and integration of European Coastal Ocean Data from JERICO and Blue Data Infrastructures to generate FAIR data products, providing analytical tools for users to explore data in three thematic services: transboundary processes and connectivity along the European margins, Extreme Events and Ocean glider.
