The Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA) is a group of organisations who work on harmonising the assessment of research. It takes into account practices and activities that maximise the quality and impact of research. It involves basing assessment primarily on qualitative judgment, for which peer review is central, supported by responsible use of quantitative indicators.

This two-hour workshop will focus on the topic of research assessment to help the selected candidates to draft their FAIR implementation action plan by taking into account the research assessment aspect.

 

Speakers:

Erzsébet Toth Czifra (CoARA) is the Open Science Officer of DARIAH ERIC where she is responsible for fostering and implementing policies and practices related to the open dissemination of research results in the arts and humanities. Her advocacy activities include charing DARIAH’s research data management working group, providing workshops, webinars, and other training activities to arts and humanities scholars on a regular basis. She is also involved in European science policy making as well as European infrastructure-building projects such as SSHOC, OPERAS-P and TRIPLE. She received her PhD in Cultural Linguistics and also has a background in scholarly communication.Toth Czifra (CoARA).

Katarzyna Nawrot holds a PhD in Economics from the Poznan University of Economics (UEP). She is a Professor at the Department of European Studies at the UEP. In the context of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA), she is leading an international team dealing with indicators and parameters in the evaluation of science. Their work is based on a community of practice with exchange of knowledge and experiences. It is open to the global level and not restricted to the European one.
