Generative Artificial Intelligence for Earth System
The GenAI4Earth project intends to develop a trustworthy ecosystem equipped with reusable GenAI services and foundation models to support Earth System Science researchers and stakeholders managing complex socio-environmental interactions. The GenAI4Earth ecosystem will enable target stakeholders to discover, access, analyse and process multi-disciplinary research data and workflows from their own disciplines, across research infrastructures, data spaces and national borders leveraging on the EOSC ecosystem, AI4EOSC and national EOSC Nodes. Besides supporting the ongoing development of EOSC as an overarching research infrastructure, GenAI4Earth is addressing the specific need for embedding responsible, transparent and frugal AI practices across fragmented Earth, climate and environmental domains.
