Carlo LACAGNINA
Carlo Lacagnina works at the interface between the relevant EOSC Gravity and EOSC United activities and the EOSC Federation Build-up Group, supporting project management activities.
After graduating in atmospheric physics in Italy, Lacagnina moved to the Netherlands, where he obtained his Ph.D. in climate dynamics at the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) and TU Delft, followed by a postdoctoral position in satellite-based aerosol observations at the Space Research Organisation Netherlands (SRON). He later moved to Spain to work at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) as a data quality scientist and project manager, where he was involved in Copernicus and Destination Earth, as well as co-leading the EOSC Task Force on FAIR Metrics and Data Quality. He subsequently worked as a project manager in a private software company. In his portfolio, Lacagnina also holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certifications.
