Philip Van Avermaet

Head of Science Policy Division, Flemish Government

Philip is Division Head of the Science Policy Division of the Department of Work, Economy, Science, Innovation and Social Economy of the Flemish Government. With a scientific background himself, he manages the strategy and implementation of policy on science and research in Flanders (Belgium), already for 15 years. Additionally, in 2024, Philip took up the role of Belgian delegate in the EOSC Steering Board.
