This webinar will explore the institutional strategies published by Canadian higher education and research institutions to address the increasingly critical demands of research data management (RDM) in accordance with the Tri-Agency RDM Policy. A focused subgroup comprising representatives from the Tri-Agencies, the University of Ottawa, and The Alliance expert groups has undertaken a comprehensive analysis of these strategies to provide insights into how institutions are addressing the RDM needs.
Findings will be presented on how institutions are planning to provide support for RDM best practices. This support includes raising RDM awareness, providing training, infrastructure, and consultation for researchers to develop data management plans (DMPs), deposit data, and work with Indigenous data. This session offers a valuable opportunity for administrators and practitioners to engage with ongoing efforts to enhance research data management in Canadian higher education and to contribute to the advancement of RDM practices across the sector.
