Responsible AI Infrastructures for Scientific Excellence
The RenAI project aims to develop a federated ecosystem equipped with domain-specific and cross-domain foundation models to support European scientific communities and researchers accelerating discovery and addressing societal challenges. The RenAI federated ecosystem will enable the target stakeholders to access, fine-tune, and apply foundation models and curated multimodal datasets from their own discipline, across research infrastructures and scientific domains leveraging on the EOSC federation and other existing initiatives like AI4EOSC. Besides supporting the ongoing development of the EOSC as an overarching research infrastructure, RenAI is addressing the specific need for enabling researchers from diverse scientific communities to overcome technical barriers and integrate ethical, transparent, and trustworthy Generative AI into their scientific practice.
