German National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI)

The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) is a pioneering initiative that aims to create an inclusive and open space for the exchange and use of research data in Europe.

Three free EOSC Coffee Lectures from the ZBW provide clarity about what the EOSC is and what it is not, present the current status and relevant developments in the context of the EOSC and show how you can get involved in the activities of the EOSC.

The EOSC Coffee Lectures invite everyone who deals with research data in their scientific work or is involved in the implementation and operation of research data infrastructures.

The Coffee Lectures are given by Prof. Dr. Klaus Tochtermann. Prof. Dr. Klaus Tochtermann is, among other things, a member of the Board of Directors of the EOSC Association (EOSC-A) and is also involved in several NFDI consortia and a member of the NFDI Senate.

Contents:

  • Current developments around the EOSC.
  • Future relevant EOSC concepts, such as EOSC EU Node, national, regional thematic EOSC nodes.
  • Status of discussions on EOSC in the 10th EU Framework Program from 2027 (EOSC-post 2027).
  • Possible role of NFDI in EOSC post 2027.

Please note that the webinar will be held in German.
