Over the coming years, the UNESCO Gender Equality in Science team and the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) will work together to advance gender inclusion in science institutions and systems worldwide, with the support of Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC).
GenSIS aims to generate new evidence, identify effective solutions, and elevate good practices that strengthen women’s leadership in Higher Education and Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) institutions. The project will bring together a broad community of STI stakeholders (including women scientists from UNESCO-OWSD networks, universities, research centres, ministries and science granting councils).
