Good practice
The Massive Open Online Courses, or MOOCs, on Research Data Management (RDM) and Data Stewardship offer comprehensive training, covering the theoretical, legal, and practical aspects of these topics. Launched in 2023 and revamped in 2024, the courses highlight FAIR practices and showcase practical tools. They target researchers and data stewards at basic and intermediate levels and are available free of charge on the NAVOICA platform.
Problem addressed
Many researchers face challenges in developing their RDM skills, which impact data quality, sharing, and FAIR compliance. MOOCs on RDM and Data Stewardship aim to bridge this gap by enhancing researchers’ and data stewards’ understanding of RDM principles and developing their skills. The intermediate-level training for data stewards includes train-the-trainer elements, empowering data stewards to extend the training’s reach and impact within their institutions and communities.
