Marion Steinberger

Marion is head of the division responsible for research data and the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) at the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). With the NFDI Germany aims to build a research data infrastructure for the whole of German research, building on 27 mainly disciplinary consortia that work on a wide range of data related topics such as metadata, standards, interoperability, ethical and legal questions or data literacy. Marion is chair of the advisory board of the FIZ Leibniz Institute for Information Infrastructure, member of the German Council for Scientific Information Infrastructures (RfII) and member of the Board of Trustees of the NFDI association.
