German National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI)

A webinar series on the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), goals, future perspectives and participation opportunities.

The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) is a pioneering initiative that aims to create an inclusive and open space for the exchange and use of research data in Europe.

Three free EOSC Coffee Lectures from the ZBW provide clarity about what the EOSC is and what it is not, present the current status and relevant developments in the context of the EOSC and show how you can get involved in the activities of the EOSC.

The EOSC Coffee Lectures invite everyone who deals with research data in their scientific work or is involved in the implementation and operation of research data infrastructures.

The Coffee Lectures are given by Prof. Dr. Klaus Tochtermann. Prof. Dr. Klaus Tochtermann is, among other things, a member of the Board of Directors of the EOSC Association (EOSC-A) and is also involved in several NFDI consortia and a member of the NFDI Senate.

Content of the Webinar:

  • History of the origins of EOSC
  • Clarification: what is EOSC (and what is it not)
  • what are and are not goals of EOSC
  • Governance structure of EOSC
  • EOSC Implementation schedule

Please note that this series of webinars will be held in German.
