During the session “From Prague to Madrid: Achievements of the EOSC tripartite collaboration”, Michel Schouppe, DG RTD, European Commission, presented for the first time the EOSC Macro-Roadmap developed by the EOSC Focus project in collaboration with the Horizon Europe EOSC-related projects. The EOSC macro-roadmap is one of the instruments designed by the EOSC Focus project to improve coordination and alignment among the projects.
The implementation Macro-Roadmap is a living document intended to provide a visual mapping of the results of the EU projects developing EOSC and, in the near future, the deliverables of the EOSC-A Task Forces and the in-kind contributions of EOSC Association member organisations (Additional Activities). These inputs will be mapped over time and categorized according to selected high-level objectives and the respective Action Areas of the EOSC Partnership’s Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda.
What is the EOSC Macro-roadmap?
The EOSC Macro-roadmap is the new tool made available by EOSC Focus for the EOSC stakeholders to:
- Understand how the different HE INFRAEOSC projects and the EOSC Association Members and Task Forces contribute to the EOSC Implementation over time
- Identify potential gaps in terms of EOSC implementation priorities
How it works
By selecting the year and the category on the Macro-Roadmap online tool, users may see the project results accordingly mapped on the timeline. The inputs are categorised according to the selected high-level objectives and the respective Action Areas of the EOSC Partnership’s Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda:
- Implementation challenges
- Landscape, Monitoring and Engagement
- Skills, training, rewards, recognition
- Supporting grand societal challenges
Timeline
The roadmap is considered a living document. It means it will be populated and updated over time. Later on, once data become available, the in-kind contributions of the EOSC Association members (Additional Activities) and the results of the EOSC-A Task Forces will be added.
