Result description
The consortium includes a network of 15 organisations that operate one or more TREs at different levels of capabilities with which the Blueprint Architecture will be validated. The information gathered will be used to release an inventory of TREs, envisioned to become a catalogue of literal connectable services in the later stages of the project. The catalogue will
- (ideally) be machine readable, although not necessarily machine actionable;
- (desired) be registered directly in the EOSC Federation;
- become a network of usable TREs based on services currently delivered.
The final form and characteristics will depend on those of the resource catalogue of the EOSC Federation, which are not fixed yet. It will be based on RDF technologies. Default ontologies or terminology suitable for describing security environments will be developed as required. We expect to provide from our side some of the things required for a semantically interoperable catalogue lookup service and service provision.
Problem addressed
Since a diversity of TREs is expected to be established in the EU (1-2 per EU MS at least), parties who want to use TREs should be made aware of existing ones in order to assist them when deciding which has the right characteristics that suit their needs.
Who can use the result
End users, particularly those wanting to build an international research project with sensitive dataTimeline
A simple list of existing TREs will be delivered during the project, and will be upgraded to a more complete catalogue towards the end of the project in late 2026.How to use the result
