Result description
The EOSC Research Software APIs and Connectors (RSAC), developed in cooperation with FAIR-IMPACT, will create research software elements for archiving, referencing, describing and citing, based on the four pillars for EOSC recommended in the Scholarly Infrastructures of Research Software (SIRS) report (Archive, Reference, Describe, and Cite).
Problem addressed
The Research Software APIs and Connectors (RSAC) will ensure the long-term preservation of research software. It implements the key recommendations of the EOSC SIRS report to connect Scholarly Repositories, Publishers, and Aggregators with the Software Heritage universal source code archive, using the CodeMeta standard, and the SWHID, using tools and services for archival, reference, description, and citation of research software artefacts.
