The oldest university in the western world, the University of Bologna is still today a reference point for European culture. It offers over 200 degree programmes to over 82,000 students and 3,600 graduates are enrolled in PhD and other 3rd-cycle programmes.
It invests in a multidisciplinary approach and it participated in over 600 projects under FP7 and Horizon 2020, worth over €230 million. Bologna has formed knowledge alliances with industry and public/private organizations and international partners.
