Join the EOSC Association

You can join the EOSC Association at any time. If your organisation applies before 21 April 2023, you will be admitted as Members or Observers after the General Assembly in May 2023.

Make sure to read the EOSC Association Statutes before you apply to join the EOSC Association.

So far, more than 160 members and 80 observers have joined the EOSC Association. See the list of organisations that are already members or observers.

Documents clarifying your legal status

A copy of the statutes, VAT document, notary registry or any other official document that includes the official name and the legal status of your institution. They can be written in your official language.

A formal letter of your legal representative

A formal letter of your legal representative indicating your interest to be admitted as a member or an observer, and setting out that your institution fully subscribes to our Statutes, will embrace and endorse the vision of the Association, adhere to its values and respect its decisions. Formal letter for mandated organisations

In case you wish to be admitted as a ´mandated organisation´, please also provide us with a formal letter of your competent national authorities nominating you as the mandated organisation of your country.

A valid VAT number of your organisation

A valid 'special' VAT number of your organisation (if applicable)

(the one that has to be communicated when receiving services from foreign suppliers)

Official confirmation of your VAT status by your tax authorities

Please provide an official confirmation by your tax authorities confirming the VAT status of your organisation.

Signed declaration of your VAT status from your organisation

Please provide a signed declaration from your organisation confirming its VAT status (fully exempt, taxable, mixed, or outside scope of VAT) if you have neither a VAT number nor 'special' VAT number.

To the extent that we may not receive any information concerning VAT, it should be acknowledged that we will assume that the VAT status of your organisation is qualified as outside scope of VAT. Hence, our services will be invoiced accordingly.
