On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Messina Declaration in support of Open Access, the University of Messina organizes, in collaboration with the University of Turin, two days of celebration and reflection on the prospects of Open Science in Italy. On November 4th, an international session will be held in which the major trends underway in Europe will be discussed, from the policies of the European Commission, to the reform of research evaluation, from the FAIR world to the European Open Science Cloud, with a focus on the sustainability of scientific communication and the Diamond Open Access. On November 5th, space will be given to national initiatives, with a round table that will feature the major players at the national level who are trying to put the Open principles into practice.
The meeting is open to professors, researchers, doctoral students and scholars who wish to delve deeper into the topics discussed.
