Privacy-preserving Identity management

Q2 2025
  • EOSC interoperability
  • Result description

Privacy-preserving Identity Management (IdM) with W3C Verifiable Credentials enables users to securely manage and store their identity information while maintaining control over their privacy—i.e. it enables users to establish and manage self-sovereign identities (SSI).

    Problem addressed

Manage the identifiers and the authentication and authorization

    Who can use the result

    All users

    Timeline

Link to the result will provided in Q2 2025 (TRL5).

    How to use the result

This solution will be employed in the data connector of the data sharing platform. Using Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) and Verifiable Credentials (VCs), individuals can authenticate and prove attributes without revealing unnecessary data. Additionally, cryptographic solutions like Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) are addressed for selective disclosure.
