The Scuola Normale Superiore aims to identify and cultivate the talent and qualities of its students. The Scuola Normale’s model is based on certain principles: the selection of students on the basis of merit, study courses and accommodation at no cost, a strong intertwining of teaching and research, community life and international exchanges. The Scuola Normale is divided into three Faculties: the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Sciences and the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences.
