Good practice
The SPOZNAJ (Support for the implementation of Open Science principles in Slovenia) project promotes Open Science and FAIR data sharing by implementing training programmes and tools for data professionals that empower researchers to adopt transparent and collaborative methods. Focused on data management, open access publishing, and responsible sharing, the project fosters a culture of openness and cross-disciplinary collaboration to advance research quality and innovation.
Problem addressed
The SPOZNAJ project addresses the challenges of adopting Open Science practices in Slovenia. It promotes transparency, collaboration, and the adoption of FAIR principles for data management. The project helps researchers to enhance the accessibility of their work, foster cross-institutional cooperation, and support the integration of Open Science into research culture to improve data sharing and transparency.

Bringing together 20 Slovenian public research organisations and a library to exchange information, experiences and best practices of Open Science.
Facilitating the change in research culture toward greater recognition and adoption of Open Science practices.
Empowering organisations to implement Open Science practices and policies at all levels of research activity.
