EVERSE Network

Q1 2025
  • Widening to public and private sectors & going global
  • Result description

EVERSE will connect to existing tools and services that communities already have, complementing them where needed, to ensure consensus on the proxies for software quality and software excellence so they can be used and easily measured by all existing tools and services. The key mechanism is the “EVERSE network”, which will position EVERSE as a thematic EOSC node on the same level as similar major international initiatives. The network, intended to continue after the project ends, is built through online events and other forms of engagement with stakeholders (e.g. the Research Software Alliance, RISA, the Research Software Engineer Society, and the Science for Africa Foundation). EVERSE has already run events together with initiatives outside Europe, e.g. the College of International Funders Workshop, with participants from USA, Australia, and Africa, to ensure that similar activities are aligned as much as possible.

    Problem addressed

EVERSE will connect to existing tools and services that communities already have, complementing them where needed, to avoid “reinventing the wheel” and to ensure consensus on the proxies for software quality and software excellence so they can be used and easily measured by all existing tools and services. The network is EVERSE’s key mechanism to do that.
