The National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) is the Italian research agency dedicated to research in the fields of subnuclear, astroparticle, nuclear, theoretical and technological and interdisciplinary physics. INFN designs and produces, in its own laboratories and in collaboration with industry, cutting-edge technologies which often lead to useful applications in other sectors, for example, distributed computing and cloud, software applications, medical sector, cultural heritage sector.
