DESCRIPTION:The University of Liège invites you to the 4th edition of Open Science Day on Thursday\, November 12\, 2026\, at the Faculty room (Salle des Professeurs\, Place du 20-Août). The event is designed to foster discussion about our Open Science practices and to (re)discover certain tools\, new features\, or initiatives developed or currently in progress at ULiège in this field. \nTo encourage a diversity of approaches\, three presentation formats are offered: \nLong presentation (20 min.)\, better suited to ongoing research projects or those conducted with a critical\, theoretical\, and/or reflective approach;\nFlash presentation (5 min.)\, better suited to presenting projects\, services\, tools\, or initiatives from a practical perspective.\nPoster presentation\nTo this end\, the Open Science Steering Committee invites ULiège researchers to submit a contribution proposal by September 5\, 2026: \nView the call for contributions (FR/EN) \nThe Programme is coming soon.

SUMMARY:Leibniz Open Science Day 2026: Scientific Rigor and Collaborative Research in the Age of AI
DESCRIPTION:Organized by ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics\, DIW – The German Institute for Economic Research Berlin\, WZB Berlin Social Science Center\, RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research\, and Lab² – Metalab for Better Science\, this workshop brings together scholars committed to strengthening the reliability\, transparency\, and cumulative nature of research in the social sciences. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCall for Papers\n\nDeadline: 31 July 2026 \nWe welcome submissions on all aspects of meta-science and open science in the social sciences. AI related submissions may focus on automatized replication and meta-analysis\, critical scrutiny of AI usage in scientific production as well as AI and the sociology of knowledge. Beyond AI\, we generally encourage work that addresses the reliability\, credibility\, transparency\, and generalizability of empirical research\, as well as studies that examine how scientific evidence is produced\, assessed\, synthesized\, or used. \nTopics of interest include\, but are not limited to: \n\nReplications and robustness reproductions\nQuantitative meta-analyses and evidence synthesis\nCrowd-science studies\, including many-analyst\, many-lab\, many-design\, and meta-reproduction projects\nCollaborative research infrastructures and large-scale research coordination\nHeterogeneity studies across populations\, contexts\, designs\, and analytical choices\nMethodological meta-science\nForecasting\, prediction markets\, and expert judgment in research evaluation\nOpen science practices\, transparency\, reproducibility\, and research integrity\nNormative influences on empirical research\n\nSubmission Details\nPlease send your extended abstracts (max. 750 words) to Antje Riechert (pb-c@zbw-online.eu) by 31 July 2026. SUMMARY:RDA in Europe Annual Summit
DESCRIPTION:The first RDA in Europe Annual Summit will take place on the 18th of November 2025 in Paris. The event is an RDA Europe initiative\, co-organised and hosted by RDA France and CNRS\, and will be co-located with the Annual RDA France meeting on the 17th of November. \n\n\nTaking place at CNRS\, 3 Rue Michel Ange\, 75016 Paris\, Auditorium Marie-Curie\, the event will provide a dedicated forum for current and prospective European RDA regions and their members to address challenges and solutions at both national and pan-European levels\, and discuss RDA’s role and priorities within the broader European landscape. It will also offer an opportunity to address key topics relevant to the European RDA community\, through the lens of the RDA and to advance its impact across Europe. \n\n\nWith the theme of ‘Weaving the RDA Tapestry: From Community Insights to Collective Action’\, the event will deliver a rich programme shaped by RDA European community contributions in the form of lightning talks and posters\, as well as a regional roundtable with topics for discussion selected in collaboration with the European RDA regional representatives.  Dr. Francoise Genova of RDA France will deliver the keynote speech: ‘RDA France: Liaising with and Supporting the French Plan for Open Science and the RDA’.
