SUMMARY:Open Science Days 2026
DESCRIPTION:For the second year in a row\, four academic institutions in French-speaking Switzerland are joining forces to promote open science. The École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)\, the Haute école pédagogique du canton de Vaud (HEP Vaud)\, the HES-SO\, and the University of Lausanne (UNIL) invite you to Lausanne on September 7 and 8\, 2026\, for two intensive\, participatory days designed for the research community of our four institutions. \nThis edition is structured around four thematic strands – the compass\, the catalyst\, the crew and the spark – and formats designed to encourage real interaction: case studies\, peer learning\, workshops and panel discussions. Fewer top-down lectures\, more collaborative work. \nThe aim remains the same: to make research a public good accessible to all\, by providing everyone with the tools\, networks and inspiration they need to move forward. \nThe programme and registration details will be available here soon!

SUMMARY:PUBMET2026
DESCRIPTION:The main Conference topic is Communities in Open Scholarly Communication: Governance\, Responsibility\, and Shared Infrastructures. \nOpen scholarly communication is shaped not only by policies\, standards\, and infrastructures\, but also by the communities that create\, evaluate\, share\, and use research. For PUBMET2026\, we propose community as a lens for reflecting on how Open Science works in practice\, including questions of responsibility\, ownership\, governance\, inclusion\, and sustainability\, as well as the gap between Open Science policies and everyday research practices. This framing is intended as a starting point for discussion\, rather than a fixed definition. \nWe invite you to join us in this discussion by participating as a speaker or presenter. Share your research findings with your peers\, engage in insightful discussions\, and offer your perspective on communities in open access scholarly communication.

SUMMARY:EOSC-France 2026 : Implementation of the future French National Node in the EOSC Federation
DESCRIPTION:The French research communities are strongly engaged in establishing a national node as part of the next phase of integration within the EOSC Federation. This workshop aims to present and discuss the vision\, scope\, and objectives of a French EOSC Node while also drawing on contributions from other national EOSC Nodes and thematic node representatives to ensure alignment of approaches. It will further seek to identify shared priorities to support the consolidation of a French EOSC Node within the broader EOSC Federation. In addition\, the workshop will demonstrate and review French use cases that could be implemented during the third phase of the EOSC Federation\, and provide a collaborative space to explore priority future use cases and associated alignment requirements.

SUMMARY:Open Science Week 2026
DESCRIPTION:To celebrate and advance the practice of Open Science\, the Open Science Community Delft as part of the Network of Open Science Communities in the Netherlands (OSC-NL) proudly presents the third National Open Science Week at TU Delft. \nThis year’s theme\, “How to Open Science”\, focuses on the practical side of making research more open\, transparent\, reproducible\, and inclusive. While support for Open Science continues to grow across the academic community\, many researchers are still looking for concrete ways to integrate Open Science practices into their daily work. This edition of Open Science Week aims to provide hands-on guidance\, tools\, and inspiration to help researchers move from intention to implementation. \nThroughout the week\, participants can take part in a series of practical workshops showcasing different approaches to Open Science in research\, education\, and societal engagement. Whether you are taking your first steps or looking to deepen your existing practice\, the programme will offer opportunities to learn from experts\, peers\, and support professionals across TU Delft. \nIn addition to the workshops\, the week will feature the annual Open Science Meet-up\, bringing together researchers\, support staff\, and students to connect and exchange experiences\, as well as the TU Delft Open Science Awards Celebration\, recognising individuals and teams who have made outstanding contributions to Open Science.
