SUMMARY:Open Science Conference 2026
DESCRIPTION:This one-day hybrid event will bring together researchers\, professional services staff and key stakeholders\, with the aim to advance open science in the social sciences. Building on the work of the CIVICA Open Science Communities\, this event aims to build capacity and promote Open Science in the CIVICA partner institutions. \nThe programme will feature keynotes\, panels\, lightning talks\, and workshops. Our aim is to highlight the specific opportunities and challenges that open science brings to the social sciences\, and to invite discussion about best practices between disciplines. \nThis will be a hybrid event\, and will take place at LSE. \nHow to apply\nAny submissions on opening the social sciences are welcome\, and CIVICA si especially keen to receive proposals on the following topics: \n\nOpen Educational Resources (OER)\nInteraction between Open Science and AI\nManaging and sharing data in the social sciences\nOpen access monographs\n\nPlease contact library.openresearch@lse.ac.uk for more information.
