OPPOSITE: Open Universal Science/OPUS
The OPUS project aims to develop coordination and support measures for reforming the evaluation of research and researchers within Research Organizations (RPOs) and Research Funding Organizations (RFOs) towards a system that incentivizes and rewards the adoption of Open Science.
Starting from the acceptance of Open Science practices: free access to research results, early and free sharing of research data, participation in peer-review assessments, ensuring the reproducibility of research results and involving citizens and civil society in the research process, the activities of the OPUS project will focus in particular on reforming the researcher evaluation system to stimulate and reward the adoption of these practices. The OPUS project is supported by 18 partners from 11 European countries. The project is coordinated by Consorcio Para El Diseno, Construccion, Equipamiento Y Explotacion De La Plataforma Oceanica De Canarias – PLOCAN, Spain and the Research Council of Lithuania (lt.: Lietuvos mokslo taryba). RCL will be a pilot organisation testing interventions, indicators and metrics for Open Science.
