Kaunas University of Technology (KTU)

Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) acts as OpenAIRE National Open Access Desk (NOAD) on Open Science for Lithuanian researchers providing training sessions, support and consultations. A module on Research Data Management for PhD students was approved in June 2017 by the Committee of the Joint Doctoral Programme in Educational Science and is taught at KTU as an elective of one or six ECTS credits. (Read more about the course in ‘Training Researchers for the Future’ (EIFL Annual Report, 2018). As part of KTU’s open science activities, a 1 ECTS credit course “Open Science” has been developed and offered in cooperation with the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU).

Kaunas University of Technology hosts Lithuanian Data Archive for Social Sciences and Humanities (LiDA, https://lida.dataverse.lt), which curates and provides open access to SSH data and other resources deposited by Lithuanian research performing organisations and public agencies. KTU is a designated national service provider for the CESSDA ERIC and is ready to become part of a thematic EOSC Node in the future.
